Breaking Boundaries

Breaking Boundaries

In IMI Church, we like to share stories of faith. Our personal stories, but also the congregation's history of faith. By having a relationship with the congregation's faith history, we get help to understand why the congregation is the way it is today, and that the life we get to share in our community has not always been a matter of course. It has been a journey to get there, where many people have come together to contribute.

In 2022, we created the series Sprengkraft (Breaking Boundaries), which over 6 episodes tries to tell some important glimpses of the history of faith from 1979 until the creation of the series. Board minutes from 1979 tell us that this spring it was considered to end the business at Bedehuset in Brødregata. So they chose instead to hire a new, young city secretary. With that, an environment of young radicals entered the assembly, and a new era began.
